Part 1 of 2
Get your first digital test credential!
In this test you play every role yourself. Here in part 1 you are first the issuer – the one deciding what the test credential contains – and then yourself, receiving it into your own wallet. Every step tells you which role you are in.
Step 1 of 5: Choose a test credential
Your role: issuer
Choose a test credential
Everything you can choose from here is a test credential with example data. They only work in this test flow, not as real documentation.

Choose a digital wallet
The test credential has to be stored in a digital wallet. We recommend a real wallet app on your phone – that is how this will actually feel, and the test credential stays on your phone afterwards. If you just want to see the concept quickly, you can use a demo wallet here in the browser.

The test flow follows the open OID4VCI and OID4VP standards, so it also works with other compatible digital wallets. We only list the ones we have tried ourselves.
If you already have one of these wallets, you can go straight to the next step.
Your role: yourself
Get the test credential into your digital wallet
Scan the QR code with your phone, or open the test credential directly on this device.
Open the test credential in the digital wallet on this device.
From here on only you can see what happens – the test credential goes straight into your own wallet, and we cannot see whether it arrived. Confirm yourself once you have it.

Congratulations, you have now got a digital test credential!
The test credential is in your wallet, and only you decide who it is shared with. Part 2 turns that around: there you are the relying party – the business asking for this very test credential and checking that it is genuine and valid.
